Does it extend your wireless in your house?
The indoor antenna will give you a stronger wireless connection in theory. Though I have found that with modern equipment, if you move the wireless transmitter a few feet you can usually solve your wireless problems. I am also a strong believer in antennas that attach to your pc with a short 18" cable. This cable allows you to position the antenna where it won't be blocked by your PC or any other surrounding objects. The farther your signal must travel and the more objects it must pass through are what kill your signal.
Hope this helps.
to coverage 3km
Thats a tuff one to answer considering thats a pretty far distance for a wifi signal. I've built yagis and dishes for wifi. Some will tell you the yagi will outdo the dish when it comes to distance but I can tell you first hand, there isnt much difference in signal strength and the yagi is alot harder to line up. The least little breeze at that distance will drop the connection. I prefer a dish. You might also look into a bilinear amp for your rig.
