I've always seen them on carts in the mall, and I am inclined, because they are not sold at the big retail outlets, to believe that they don't work. Anyone ever use one?
From my experience NO. If your talking about the stickers that you place on the back of your phone or battery. I tried a few different ones and none worked for me. They are only a few dollars so if its your last resort pick one up and try it out.

Currently I am using cingular wireless for my cell phone, but my reception downstairs in my house is poor. I was wondering if a cell phone booster antenna will really improve my reception?
no. not in my experience.
If you think about it, if they worked the phone manufacturers would have included that feature in the phone you already own, to try and make you buy their phone over the competitions.
Also if you have a tin roof or stucco walls, the only thing you can do is go outside, since these act as a barrier to the signal.

I live in a very marginal cell. phone reception area; sometimes I get the tower, with one or two bars, and sometimes not. I'd like to drop my land line due to trouble with Verizon, my provider. Resolved Question: overprotective parents? i am 14 and my parent are way too overprotective but every time i try talking to them about it, they send me to my room. These are the rules: 1. i must ride in my compass high back booster seat at all times (i am 4'10 and 76 lbs!) 2. i am not allowed to have a cell phone until i turn 16 3. only pg movies, and they must be watched at home with my parents 4. bedtime at 9 5. no doors closed or locked 6. 1 hour of tv a day and 20 minutes of computer a day 7. homework done first on friday before going anywhere 8. bath time is set for 7 o clock 9. if i go to the movie theater, i have to go with my parents no later than 6:30, and the movie must be pg 10. if i ride my bike i can only go down my street with a helmet 11. i am only allowed to ride in other people's cars if our van is broken or my mom has no way of picking me up 12. if i ride in someone else's car, i must be in my booster seat i am going to be a freshman in high school. no there is no reason they have discussed with me about the booster seat issue. i know i am short, but i am a teen and shouldn't have to sit in a baby seat. it sucks riding in it cause it looks like a car seat and i am picked up and dropped off form school in it. i have asked my parents if i can sit without it, but they yell at me and tell me that if i can still fit in it, then i need to sit in it for safety reasons!!!....ughhhh read more...
