what type of antenna does my cellular phone use?

I need to know what are the components of a cellular phone antenna
(not the antenna booster). What type of antenna (I am not talking about the base station antennas) the cellular phone uses.
For example is it omni, etc,..
Could u all send me a reference

All antennas that are in a cell phone are omnidirectional. This is so that the orientation of the phone's antenna will not affect your signal strength in a given area.

Is there any such thing as a Cell Phone antenna booster?

I live in a very marginal cell. phone reception area; sometimes I get the tower, with one or two bars, and sometimes not. I'd like to drop my land line due to trouble with Verizon, my provider. Can I get some kind of antenna I can mount on the side of my house for better cellular phone reception? Then perhaps I could get WiFi for my computers as well... TIA!


You could check with your cell phone provider to see if they have any suggestions.

BTW - Those stickers that you put on the phone or under the battery are a scam.

How can I boost my cell phone reception when I am inside my house?

Is there anything that I can do to boost my cellular phone service while I am indoors. Those little antenna booster stickers don't work. Is there anything else out there that really work and is not too expensive. I am on the AT&T network, if that matters. Thanks


The repeaters may be a little pricey at first but they are worth it. The call center I work in did not have any service in the building for the first 2 years I worked there and then they put a repeater on the roof and now we have full signal and phones work great anywhere in the building, which is pretty good considering it is a metal building. And by the way, AT&T does not guarantee in building coverage and it is in their contract so that is not grounds to cancel the contract as someone else suggested.
