Radar detector does not work with SAT radio antenna?

I recently installed SAT radio in my car, it works great with the internal glass mounted antenna, only problem is now my radar detector has a constant alert. I called Escort and they said that yes a SAT radio antenna can cause interferance with the radar detector. Anyone know how to fix without having to switch to an external antenna?

Move your detector out of the windshield area.

how can i use a motorised antenna? i have a project on mobile transmission detector .?

i want to use this antenna in my project. and can a motorised antenna be used to show the direction of mobile?

RDF is almost a lost art. Since GPS came along, the need for it for navigating has gone.

To find the direction of a signal, you need some kind of directional antenna. There are many kinds but the usual one is a crossed loop. You can also use an Adcock array for the same purpose. With these types, the direction is obtained using a Goniometer. Being motorized would confer no benefits.

Looking for Electromagnetic Field Detector?

I need to find an EMF Detector that can also print out a report. Must be portable, non-digital, and have a multidirectional antenna.Somewhat like a polygraph test. Does anyone have an idea where I can buy one.

Narda makes probably the best ones.

Where is the temp. detector on a car?

We are adding one of those temp things in one of our old trucks. My dad has all the wires and everything but we are trying to find out where the thermometer really is. Is it true that it is on the antenna of the car on new cars?

Are you talking about the engine temp or an outside air temp gauge? It sounds like you're trying to install an outside air temp gauge. If so they usually locate the sending unit in front of the radiator or below the radiator where it will be in the air stream while driving. If it's the engine temp you're talking about then the sensor is usually in either the head or the intake manifold.

Wi-Fi Antenna with Aluminum foil?

How would i make a antenna/disk to boost the area of my wi fi detector and also boost the signal? is there any way?

Sure! Do a search for biquad wifi. The antenna aint nothin more than a bent up piece of copper wire and it will outperform any factory made unit. You can also mount it to an old tv dish and increase gain even more.
COLANTH...I graduated from devry 35 yrs ago as a communications specialist and have built many antennae for every conceivable radio frequency you can think of. A simple reflector around a cheap wifi antenna will increase gain but it wont be anywhere near as much as a biquad without a reflector. Your idea on stacked quads is only feasible with at most a double biquad. Any more than that is a waste of time. In the last three years, being retired, I have dovoted my hobbies to wifi antennae and I have built yagis, quagis, dish antennae, slotted waveguides etc. For the price of a pigtail, and a piece of 12 gauge solid copper wire, it will do more than he wants.

  • Detection Properties of Thin-Film Slot-Antenna-Coupled GaAs ...

GaAs Schottky barrier diodes (SBDs) coupled with a thin-film slot antenna were fabricated using a microfabrication technique, and video detection and mixing properties were investigated at 94 GHz. In the video detection, the bias voltage dependence of detected voltage showed almost the same variation with the calculated value derived from the theory of square-law detection. It was confirmed that detected voltage was obtained from the nonlinearity of the current–voltage ( I V ) characteristic of the device. A Si extended hemispherical lens was coupled to the device to improve device responsivity. The increase in detected voltage was 22.2 dB upon using a lens with a radius of 10 mm, and a noise equivalent irradiance (NEI) of 1.2×10
