How to calculate mast height for best possible coverage for WiFi network using this antenna?

The full lenght of wave of one antenna is the division of 300,000 (The speed of tjhe light in km) by the frequency in KgHz.
In this case, 300,000 : 2,400,000 = 0.125 m (12,5 cm)(4in 7/8)
Remember, highter is the frequency, shorter is the lenght of wave.

I'm looking foir some sort of kit to attach a 12 ft x 2" antenna mast to a square concrete post in my garden (typical washing line post).

Any suggestions for what I might need and links to stores welcomed

Tapcon screws and an electrical conduit strap will do the trick.

I like to put up an outside antenna and mount it to my house with a mast. What store probably sells this type of brackets? I have all ready tried Menards and Lowes. Neither store carried any.

Radio Shack sells all kinds of antennae and mountings. If they don't have what you're looking for, they can tell you where to go.

I am trying to take off the bolt that holds the mast in (on the outside of the car). I can turn it all the way to the top of the bolt but it just keeps turning without coming off. Is their a trick to getting the antenna mast nut off? Why is it that fixing anything on these cars usually involves some off the wall technique?

The antenna mast is for a powerized system.
This part for a Volvo can only be purchased at dealership or on some online websites....I would really like to save some cash and get instruction on how to replace myselfl. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

1. Remove panels and carpet in the cargo compartment. Carpet held by 2 screws / panel held by screws and clips.
2. Remove antenna cable and ground lead.
3. Remove drain hose
4. Remove mounting screw for antenna
5. Remove dome shape rubber seal (pull)

Install in reverse order
