Cell Phone Antenna For Home

Antennas Answers

Is there any good home cell phone antennas?

I'm looking for a very good cell phone antenna. I am going to buy me a prepaid cell phone and here in the southern part of missouri in a very hilly area there is no signals. I need to be reachable 24/7, the only way I can currently recieve a signal is to climb a tree or something high. Any Ideas?

try this website this is where i got mine (verizon) http://www.calcellular.com/antenna.html? gclid=CJOhjtnY5ZoCFSAhDQodjXNGBw

Is there any way to boost my antenna strength on my cell phone while I am at home?

I saw a device on tv a while back that worked like a portable cell tower, but I do not remember what it was called.

Any help here would be appreciated.

I've seen those things on T.V. too. They're just a gimmick.

I know several store managers pretty good and while talking to one of them, we discussed the "As Seen On T.V." doo-hicky in question. We both wondered if it really worked. She let me borrow it to try out. I read the directions, peeled the backing off, removed my battery, and stuck it in place.. I took it around the county to all the known weak spots and dead spots. It had no noticeable effect. The dead spots were still dead; the weak spots were still weak.

What kind of cell phone antenna should I get??

I live in a building that does restricts my cell phone reception. I do not get ANY signal inside, it is my personal residence not an apartment building or anything, I am trying to find an antenna to put up so I can get reception inside my home. I have a cingular LG phone
thanks

Switch to verizon. Or go to your cingular dealer and ask for a antenna for your car. Run it out the window of your appt. and maybe you will get a signal. you can also take your phone to radio shack and ask them which antenna.

Poll: Does your phone (Cell or home) have an antenna that you have to pull up?

You know like the older cells have.
Or is it already attached to the phone?

my home phone does but not my mobile i think only old mobiles do

Do cell phone antenna booster stickers really work?

I make calls from my home for business, but get poor reception. I saw a sticker type antenna booster at a store, but don't know anything about them. Are they for real?

Dont waste your money. it is a cheasy gimmick. I used to sell them, and my employees all tried them on their phones, but they didnt make a difference. I think they may have done some good on the older analog phones. But they are definitely not worth anything.

  • cell phone roof antenna

I am researching a roof antenna for my 1960's brick home. I have decent coverage outside of my home with Verizon. Does anyone know of this product - CAE50 SOHO Repeater Package? I found it at this site http://www.cellantenna.com/repeater/cae50.htm

Anybody using a roof antenna that they are happy with. Thanks for the help.

    Susie,

I have not used the product you mentioned but I do have first-hand knowledge of a roof cell phone booster that is sold by Radio Shack. The brand is Wilson. The cost is somewhere around $800. It will boost a weak signal and give you great reception within a 100 yard radius around the antenna. I have an automobile version of the cell booster made by Wilson in my car and get reception in rural Arizona areas when there is no reception without it.
