How can I use the dish 500 antenna for regular local tv channels?

i have the antenna aimed already for dish (El Paso TX) but my local channels with the inside hdtv antenna i have dont have good reception and i was planning to use the dish antenna instead

You need a Terk clip-on antenna to attach to your dish to receive free local over-the-air channels.

Something like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00005T 3A8/103-4422885-9123814?v=glance&n=1 72282
but there are plenty to choose from.

dish antenna for multipurpose sattelites c band and ku band with two lnbs

is there anything I can use to transmit the signal from my dish antenna to my dish receiver wirelessly. thanks?

I need something that will connect to the coaxal or cable that comes from the dish and then wirelessly sends the signal to my receiver just like if I had a cable straight from my antenna to my receiver.

Afraid you are out of luck on that one. The only way your receiver will get a signal is if it is connected through the grounded wire coming from the dish.

how to make a satellite dish antenna ?

I am staying where we are not allowed to use install dish antenna would like to know if there is away where I can make a antenna so as to replace the dish antenna for receiving TV channels.

Explain to your landlord that the satellite dish is very small and that it would be a temporary installation, and before you move out you will return the building to it's original condition. If he/she says no, offer a small security deposit. Understand that it may be non-refundable.

...or get cable.

how do you build or can someone make me a WiFi biquad dish antenna satellite dish?

if you could that would be great i would buy it from you so you show me how i need a dish to get internet 15 miles back to my town i live out in the country so i dont get it. unless i pay 69.99 a month for satellite internet. so could someone sell me a dish or instructions?

you wont get a full internet dish (like Hughes net) as it talks up and down
but try this http://www.metacafe.com/watch/840289/how _to_make_a_wifi_extender_antenna/

http://www.metacafe.com/watch/837885/wif i_antenna_hack/

you can use this same technology from the second one and hook it to a DirectTV Dish and Single LNB and extend your range to about 25-30 miles - it would still be stealing.

I do it at my place in northern wisconsin

  • NEW King-DomeAIR Dish/Antenna Combo | RV Buddies Online

Mobile satellite leader King Controls delivers the first satellite dish & off-Air antenna in one simple package.

King Controls announces its new King-DomeAIR satellite antennas with Advanced Integrated Reception for digital off-air signals.  King-DomeAIR antennas allow RVers to enjoy all the benefits of digital satellite TV and high definition broadcast (off-air) TV from a single roof mounted dome system.

The King-DomeAIR is designed to work better than traditional RV antennas and provides a wider reception angle and greatly improved UHF signal reception, which is where over 80% of the new digital off-air TV channels are now broadcast.  Both the satellite and off-air antennas are completely self-contained inside a single, low-profile, weather proof dome no taller than a standard air conditioner.  With nothing to crank-up or stow, the King-DomeAIR is unaffected by wind and is always ready for travel.  The off-air signal of the King-DomeAIR can be combined with an existing digital ready off-air antenna to provide multi-directional coverage and receive more channels in rural areas.  Simple push button control provides precise antenna positioning to reach more distant broadcast towers.  All necessary hardware to combine off-air signals is included.
