i mean to use it like an antenna to pick up over the air tv stations or digital tv.
That's not going to work.
Antennas work on frequency. Satellites work in the microwave band, over the air TV works in the VHF and UHF bands. One antenna will not work on the other band.

I have a two dual-receivers four room set-up for my Dish Network satellite antenna set-up. I would like to add a fifth room (and possibly a sixth) to this set-up, but I don't want to pay for installation. I'm willing, though, to pay for a new receiver, so is there a way to do this? Is there an online reference to look at, or do one of you have experience doing this? Your help would be appreciated!
It is my understanding that Dish does not support any more than 4 active tuners per dish. I suppose you could get another dish, but to have one or two more active TVs, you'd need another receiver, which requires installation. You could splice the signal from TV2 from each of your receivers, giving you two more TVs that you could then control with the TV2 remote (with the UHF signal). The TV1 signal relies on the infared signal from its remote to manage it, requiring you to be in the same room as the receiver to change channels.
Let me know if you need any help.

I mean you can view these local channels for free with antenna(well after 2009 it will be digital) so why do dish/satellite networks like direct tv or the dish network charge extra fees to get those channels? Couldn't you just unplug/turn off the satellite receiver (and prop the antenna if needed) and watch the local news without paying anything extra?
note: I currently have cable and was thinking of switching to a dish until I saw the extra fee for local channels.
TV stations and networks have copyright and can control distribution. Both cable and satellite have to pay to carry these signals, they are not free to them. you can request an AB switch which allows you to change from cable/satellite box to outside antenna at no charge. most people are too lazy to use the switch but some TVs have multiple inputs which make it easier to go to antenna by remote control.

I need to know how to install the antenna. I guess need some coordinates and other type of satellite information.
read the installation manual. You may have to go to their website to get the elevation and bearing settings.
Find a place where you have an unobstructed view. mount it per the directions.
Using a compass, rotate it to the bearing given.
elevate it to the elevation angle given.
hook up the dish to the box, and the box to your TV. Have the TV where you can see it from the antenna.
go into the menu and select the setup option.
start slowly moving the antenna side to side until you get the strongest signal.
slowly move the antenna up and down until you get the strongest signal.
repeat the two above steps until you get the strongest signal. It may take a couple of tries, but it can be done by yourself without any fancy equipment.
I have a Dish 1000.2 antenna and a VIP-722 dual tuner receiver. The receiver is in my home and I plan to take it with me when I travel. I want satellites 110, 119 and 129. The antenna has 3 output cables and the receiver has only 2 satellite inputs. I think I need a DPP44 switch in between, then with a DPP separator I only need to run one cable to the receiver. At my house, they used a DP34 switch which seems to work ok. So, can I use a DP34 switch on the RV or must I use the DPP44? Are there any other acceptable solutions I should consider? (Yes, I do have a HDTV in the RV.) Thanks, Miscued
Im an Installer. You do not need a 44 switch because the 1000.2 combines all 3 signals through one line and it can run up to 3 receivers.
Your vip722 came with a separator which splits the one line into 2 signals for both tuners (satellite inputs) Attach the seperator to the receiver and the line from dish to the separator.
If you need help finding signal you can get a local installer for your RV:

Good luck getting all 3 signals - not easy
