How would I go about making an antenna AUX adapter? I know I can buy one but I really don't want to spend $50 if I can make one relatively cheap. I do have an electronics background but never got in-depth with the engeneering part so I know about different components and things of that nature.
Basically I want it to hook up so that my antenna can be plugged in at the same time as my AUX equipment and all I have to do is flip a switch to change from ANT. to AUX. Kinda like the old RF adapter for the NES before there were RCA inputs.
OK just build a fm transmitter and plug in to your antenna i rather pay $100.00
i don't want to waste time

I would like to extend my wireless connection to a neighbor a few doors down. My N Ultra range plus (Linksys) doesn't quite reach. Will building those DIY windsurfer antennae help even though the router doesn't have any antennae?

Ok, so I live in the middle of cornfields. My stations are all 300 degrees compass heading and the antennas are all 40-50 miles away. I'm sort of in a gully, but only slightly. Trees 3-500 feet from antenna location (woods)
Now what? lol I figured all that crap out. I have the frequency assignments for the stations too, but have no idea what that means.
How about those DTV coat hangar antennas? Do they really work? Would they work for me? If I make one does it have to be perfect? Is there a better antenna I can build for my location?
Help?
Go to makezine.com In one of their programs they show how to easily make a suitable antenna. I have some good rabbit ears that get in lots of stations (not in a gully) but I am going to make the one they show. with extra cable it can be put into a tree but them it would be too hard to move about.

That depends on the link distance and if it is a point to point link or point to multi point link.
if you want to run a point to point link for large distances, then you can try biquad antenna as a feed for dish :

what is ground plug for antenna, connect it to the my electric socket/ ground ?
i live in a apartment at 9 floor.
Yes, a simple wire is sufficient. You can improve reception by connecting the ground plug to the 3rd prong (ground) on a 3-prong outlet, or to any plumbing connection that goes to ground. Depending on where you live, the plumbing may not be a conductor (i.e. PVC pipe), so try different options.

I live about 60 miles from the Green Bay stations too and clear skies reception on my old antenna was poor. I built a GH-10 for under $20 and now get most channels from Green Bay even during storms. At worst, I get some pixillation on PBS. The GH-10, however will not pull in FOX since it is broadcast in VHF. I had to build a dipole/yagi to pull that in. If you don't have a pre-amp, I would try that first.
