Internal Antenna

I have a Cingular phone that has 3 bars of signal but it is roaming and I can't use it. So I was wondering if an internal antenna would work? any suggestions?

Ok im lost here ... if you have an ATT phone with 3 bars of service you should be able to use it. If you have a nation plan roaming wont matter. If you have an older plan where roaming isnt included and you pay extra thats just what you will do.
Since your having trouble with the phone please call customer care and see if they can troubleshoot for you. You will need to call them from a different phone and they can be reached at 1-800-331-0500 and are open Sat till 6pm.
BTW those internal antennas are a waste of money... call customer care to see if you need some updates pushed thru or exactly what is going on in the area your in!

I'm getting ready to buy a cell phone and plan from us cellular and I was browsing their phones on their website. Some of the phones say they have an internal antenna and others do not. I don't know what the purpose of them are. Should I get one with an internal antenna or does it matter?

doesn't matter, internal and external antenna had the same strength in signal. it all depends on how strong the signal of your carrier is in your area.

I've been using my TV, with an internal antenna for several months now -- since we can no longer afford cable to pick up our local stations. The stations come in very clear without cable.

My question is, will I be able to hook up a digital converter to the TV and get the same stations in digital format, once the digital switch is made, even though the TV has an internal antenna?

I don't have to buy any special equipment other than the digital converter, do I?

You have to connect the converter box to some antenna. If you can't connect it to the antenna you are using now, you will need some other antenna.

You can try cheap rabbit ears. But rabbit ears dont work well for most people trying receive digital TV signals. You may need a roof type antenna.

Hiya! The internal antenna is not directional,the reception of all signals takes place via the frame of the device!
