where to put cell phone antenna booster?

I just bought a "celltenna" booster for my Motorola L6 phone. Have no idea where should I place it. Anyone can help?
I tried all the suggestions...it still doesn't work. For those of you who are curious, I only paid $2 for the booster.

I think it goes where the battery goes. Just remove the battery and place it inside, then place the battery where it belongs.

**Does the MOTOROLA V551 cell 'phone have a telescoping OR a stub, non-moving antenna?

I was thinking of buying one on e-bay but don't want a telescoping antenna or one that extends. One of the "accessories" I've seen for this model is a telescoping antenna...

Can someone help a confused lady??

Many thanks in advance for your kind information.

no it doesnt

Any advice on improving signal strength on my Motorola V551 cell phone?

The most signal strength I can get on my cell is 2 bars only and sometimes none at all. What should I do to improve this? I even added a signal booster that sticks inside the cell phone close to the antenna underneath the battery. By the way, my service provider is Rogers here in Canada.

Hi Raul,

Put a small piece of foil about 1" square behind the battery being careful not to let it touch a terminal.

It added two bars to my signal.

  • Verizon / Alltel confusion...

Bag phone, a yagi directional antenna and a Cyfre booster. My service provider is Alltel. Verizon purchased Alltel and must sell off a number of it’s customers as part of the deal. I am pretty sure that I will be one of those customers. I point my yagi at an Alltel tower in Enterprise, UT some 30 miles away. I get a signal and all is as good as can be expected. as did Alltel and that seems OK but they do not offer a telephone with external connections to attach my yagi antenna and booster. I cannot find a telephone anywhere that can do this except the Motorola M-800. Is it likely that AT&T will support my phone? Do you know of another phone that can hook up a yagi and booster? Will...
