For instance, the Antennas Direct DB4 outdoor HDTV antenna versus the Antennas Direct DB2 HDTV indoor antenna. I am looking for stronger signal and wondering if this would work. Thanks a lot!
Yes, you could use an outdoor antenna indoors. You may loose a little signal strength because of the walls or roof of the house, but it will definitely work.
That particular antenna is a two bay bow tie. It should work well for UHF (channels 14+) but not so well for VHF (channels 2 - 13). Make sure that after February 17 there won't be any stations in your area moving back to VHF. Also, that type of antenna is fairly directional so you need to have the face aimed in the general direction of the transmitters.
If you don't know where the transmitters are in your area, visit http://www.antennaweb.org . Based on your zip code, you will get information on the stations in your area.
I hope this helps. Please return and select a Best Answer from all of those submitted.

In addition to what the others have said, this antenna is not multi directional so it has to be pointed at the broadcast towers for the station(s) you want to receive. If they are all withing a few degrees of each other, you will be ok. However, if they are in different directions and the people watching those 3 TVs want to view stations which are in different directions at the same time, you will have a problem.

You type your address into http://www.antennaweb.org and it shows you how far away the towers are and recommends an indoor or outdoor antenna.

I have an existing AT&T/Dish Network subscription. I was wondering if I can install an outdoor HDTV antenna and use it together with my existing AT&T/Dish Network cable that goes in to the house. If yes, then I would also appreciate any info on what I would need to accomplish that. Thanks.
You most certanly can do this. Basically you just have to get the antenna, run the cable into the house, and on the back of your reciever, is a coax connection that says antenna in. Just plug it in there and anything picked up in HD will show up as HD on the TV. I like the terk antennas. Check out terk.com.
I am looking at hdtv outdoor antennas and am confused. I am about 50 miles from brodcast areas, but our channels are 2, 5, 7, 9 , 32 mostly. So do I need a uhf and a vhf antenna, and the sales person I talked to said not to use rg6, just use regular coax, is that right or not? One other thing is I keep hearing about transformers, where exactly does that fit it at
thanks in advance
confused
