Phone Antenna Booster

Currently I am using cingular wireless for my cell phone, but my reception downstairs in my house is poor. I was wondering if a cell phone booster antenna will really improve my reception?

no. not in my experience.

If you think about it, if they worked the phone manufacturers would have included that feature in the phone you already own, to try and make you buy their phone over the competitions.

Also if you have a tin roof or stucco walls, the only thing you can do is go outside, since these act as a barrier to the signal.

I make calls from my home for business, but get poor reception. I saw a sticker type antenna booster at a store, but don't know anything about them. Are they for real?

Dont waste your money. it is a cheasy gimmick. I used to sell them, and my employees all tried them on their phones, but they didnt make a difference. I think they may have done some good on the older analog phones. But they are definitely not worth anything.

I live in a very marginal cell. phone reception area; sometimes I get the tower, with one or two bars, and sometimes not. I'd like to drop my land line due to trouble with Verizon, my provider. Can I get some kind of antenna I can mount on the side of my house for better cellular phone reception? Then perhaps I could get WiFi for my computers as well... TIA!

You could check with your cell phone provider to see if they have any suggestions.

BTW - Those stickers that you put on the phone or under the battery are a scam.

I just bought a "celltenna" booster for my Motorola L6 phone. Have no idea where should I place it. Anyone can help?
I tried all the suggestions...it still doesn't work. For those of you who are curious, I only paid $2 for the booster.

I think it goes where the battery goes. Just remove the battery and place it inside, then place the battery where it belongs.

I've tried the little gold foil-looking things; they're junk. I have a good-quality phone, but live in a "dead" zone with practically no reception at all. Any suggestions?

yes there some of them but they all look the same so try getting it from a branded company as i took one and they gavve me money back garantee and its working
