Exactly how are they doing this? You failed to tell. Are they installing their antennas on existing structures or are they using the existing cables as an antenna?

I have an antenna booster for my car radio that I am trying to install. It says to:
Simply plug booster into radio and antenna into booster. Connect power lead to switched 12-volt power source and your done.

I figured out how to plug the booster into the radio and antenna into the booster, but I don't know how to connect it to the power lead to switched 12-volt power source or what that means. Any ideas? Thanks

Well you cigarette lighter socket has a 12v output, so do most car batteries. Hope this helps.

I'm getting power and the antenna is connected. I tried putting in a CD. The unit showed that the CD was playing but still no sound.

you forgot to turn on the factory amplifier,
use the other blue wire to do that good luck

I need help installing a Uniden SMH1525DT radio in my 1998 ford Taurus. The radio was given to me so I don't have any instruction booklets or warranties. In fact all I do have is the radio, handset, antenna, installation bracket without the screws, and the power cord. There is also a jumper type thing for the accessory hookup. Thanks!

Get a lighter plug (Radio Shack) and hook the power leads to it and plug into any lighter outlet. You will have to have a place to mount the radio.

I'm trying to install an CD played in my 1994 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight with power antenna . The CD player is a Pioneer DEH-2000MP. While connecting the GM wire harness to the Pioneer harness, I ran into a problem: My GM wire harness has a power antenna wire, The Pioneer does not.I'm guessing that if I don't attach this wire, then my antenna will never come up and offer poor reception. Where do I put this wire? Should I add it to the Yellow constant 12V supply terminal? Red Connect to terminal by ignition switch (12 V DC)

According to the supplied wiring instructions connect teh GM power antenna wire to the Blue/White wire from your head unit. This wire will raise the antenna or turn on remote amps.
