Samsung Cell Phone Antenna

I live in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma first of all so its not like I am trying to get a signal way up in the mountains or something like that and my cell phone provider is U.S. Celluar and I have a cell phone made by Samsung with a internal antenna

I find myself having one bar most the time or no bars at all and I keep sending text messages that I don't think the other person is getting is there anything I can do to make it better

seems like your problem is location based and is mostly out of your hands. you can purchase a signal repeater. this plugs into an outlet, sucks in signal and amplifies it over a small area (like your house). not your usual DIY electronics, but simple enough and common enough that you can rig it yourself. it does however tend to be pricey.

purchased a Samsung T319 hoping reception would be better inside the house then it was with my old Nokia, it isn't. Are there any tricks to getting better reception?

I have weak reception at my house. I drop calls regularly. I wondered if there was a brand or type of cell phone that might be better at handling weak reception. I currently have a Samsung flip phone with an internal antenna.

The Nokia and the Motorola are the best in reception and in Nokia I will say the 1100 series are good, they are sure b/w but they are good. $

I have a samsung m500

There are cell phone booster devices out (Tiger Direct sells them) and most are under $200. Its a box you plug in an outlet and thats it.

These are nice for boosting cellular signals in steel and cement office buildings, etc. There are also external antennas you can buy that attach to the outside of your house/structure. These resemble the "whip" antennas you see used for CB's.

Dont waste your money on the stick-on garbage, wont work. Most phones nowadays have their antennas built in. Even if it were external your only getting about 4" lift on your antenna, wont do squat- thats why you hardly see cellphones with pull out antennas anymore.

find a chart that fits around the top of the phone where it flips and put it on that, its not gonna look as great but its a start
