Sirius Satellite Antenna

I have a 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with SIRIUS Satellite Radio factory installed. I have a Sirius subscription and I get good reception, but I was just curious as to where the antenna is mounted.

Under the top of the center of the dash on 2007 and up and is not visible,the 2006 is mounted on the roll bar just above the speaker pod.

Installing an XM or SIRIUS satellite radio antenna in a sedan.

If the car is equipped with satelite radio then the sirius antenna is built in antenna module(little black piece that the regular antenna sticks out of) mounted to the roof in the back center. There is no way to tell the difference just by looking at the antenna they both look the same(with or without satelite).

Does this mean that it cant find the satellite antenna or the radio antenna?

All the wires are connected as they should be.

Called Sirius and they tried to help.(I was unimpressed)

Call Sirius. Your fees include technical support. I would call Sirius and ask them what is your problem. They should be able to trouble shoot and help resolve your problem.

Edited to add: call back and speak with someone else. They know their product. Whether you were impressed or not, they should be able to identify and help you fix your problem.

Yes, mine is in the roll bar of my jeep and covered with padding and a soft top, it works fine. My other car was more difficult to mount I ran it through the plug on the firewall and stuck it to my hood, works fine. As long as it is mounted flat it will work anywhere.

I am determined to do this myself without the professional help and I was wondering if anyone knew of a website that will explain or even show me how to install it onto my 2000 nissan sentra?

Just a few tips from me, NEVER have a lot of wire outside of the car becuase its easy for someone to cut it and then you will be out 30 bucks with the antenna. Another Thing is to keep your radio out of direct sunlight!!
