Where can I find a TV antenna booster that plugs into the house wiring?

I have an antenna booster connected to one of my older TVs that seems to work well. It connects to the TV with a cable and plugs into the house wiring. I'd like to find another one to attach to another TV-- but I can't remember where I got the device or what it's called. Can anyone help?

It's an antenna booster or amplifier or signal amplifier. When you go into someplace like Radio Shack or Fry's electronics tell them you need an adapter or a converter to use with your older TV, after you find that, then tell them you need the signal amplifier. They should be able to tell you how they will hook together.

That depends on what you expect it to do!

If you expect it to magically pull in signals from distant cities, it will be a disappointment.

If you expect it to help you overcome problems with a long cable between the antenna and TV or a splitter to feed multiple TVs, then it may make you happy.

A "booster" is simply an amplifier. If your antenna isn't good enough to get a good signal, all an amplifier will do is amplify the noise and you still won't get anywhere. However, if you have a good signal, the amp can help cancel out losses from cables and splitters.

Do those "as seen on tv" cell antenna boosters work? Anyone have first hand experience?

If your refering to those adhesive backed "stickers" that are supposed to "boost" your signal, I wouldn't waste your money. Psychologically, you will believe that your reception is better and that's what they are counting on. Theoretically, the sticker with embedded foil pattern could do something, but it works on the inductive coupling principal and you would have to be accurate with your placement to have it work right and plus the circuit board layout in your cell phone would have to be optimized to make this work. So in short, No they don't work.

How much does a TV Antenna Booster cost to run? Booster in 4-unit condo connected to my electric accidentally.

Its power consumption will be only a few watts, perhaps 5 or 6 at the most.

I don't know how much you pay for electricity so I can't work out how much running it will cost.
