How can I hook up an outdoor TV antenna to feed the signal to all my rooms using the cable connection in wall?

I want to hook up an outdoor antenna to watch over the air hdtv, what would be the way to hook it up and distribute the signal to all the cable wall plate that is in all my rooms? its a newer home and has coaxial cable connections in all the rooms, is there anyway i can hook up the tv to those to watch tv from my outdoor antenna?

Absolutely. Make sure the antenna you select has a 75 ohm connector so you can use coaxial cable. Connect the antenna to a "splitter" available at any hardware or electronics store. Connect the cables from the various rooms to the output terminals on the splitter. If the signal is not strong enough you can use a splitter with an amplifier. Since your home is already wired, there may be a central junction already in place, in which case you simply wire the antenna to the junction.

Can I use coaxial cable on my house mounted, outdoor TV antenna?

I've used the $40 coupon and I've bought the DTV converter box. The old, brown , insulation on my outdoor antenna has deteriorated. Can I replace the old wire with coaxial and happily receive TV signals?
Please give me details about the "matching transformer" at radio shack. Thanks in advance for the helpful replies.

Yes.. You can buy a Matching Transformer at Radio Shack for about 5 bucks...It converts the flat wire to coax cable.

Can someone recommend a good outdoor TV antenna?

I've been using those crappy 10 dollar indoor antennas with my crappy TV, but i have good reception. now i have a handed-down LCD 40 inch HD ready tv from Astar. but my crappy 10 dollar antenna works gives me horrible reception with my new tv. i just want a a good, easy-to-install, outdoor antenna that gives me all the local channels like nbc, fox, wb, cbs, etc. can anyone recommend me a good one?

First, you have to know what you need, before you go buy something. See the link below. If you were getting good reception with just rabbit ears, you may not need a super antenna. Radio Shack has several that might meet your needs, including indoor types. Keep in mind what the site will show you. You may need to rotate the antenna in order to pick-up everything in your area. That makes an indoor type you can move, a better choice.

Which outdoor TV antenna would be suitible for recieving OTA DTV stations that are at least 60 miles away?

I live around 50-60 miles from any tv stations. Which outdoor antenna would you recommend for recieving these local channels?

Personally, I would use an 8 Bay Bow Tie antenna with a Channel Master 26db preamp with the antenna mounted high on the roof. See links below.

What is the best and smallest outdoor TV antenna?

I live in an area where the conventional TV antennae are not allowed. The residents do not like to see those ugly looking structures. They do not object to DirecTV or Dish Network. So, any antenna similar to a dish, I believe, would be acceptable.

if you have dish, you can get whats known as a TERK which clips on the back of the dish, and is amplified. They do quite well. Also, if you havent tried it already, go somewhere like radioshack and buy The HIGHEST GAIN amplified TV TOP antenna. These also do fairly well, with about a 30ish to 40ish db Gain.
