Wireless Internet Antenna

It is a Belkin N wierless internet antenna. Why does it shut off and I have to disconnect it and then restart it to work?

its typicall problem , with wireless connections,
basicallyit have many reasons, as,

It may be faulty
It may tryingto reconnect the internet , as many times ISP get disrupted .
U need to upgrade its OS file,
Try to use other Modem for some time and have a note of diconnection,.

if at all still its not solved then u can take it to Service Centre,

I get my wireless internet connection from the college I attend. My dorms are right across the street, but all of the interference causes my internet to disconnect several times an hour. As you can imagine this is quite frustrating. I heard that there was a device that I can buy to act as an antenna so that I can pick up better signals? Is this an actual product? If so where can I buy it?

I currently have satellite Internet and i absolutly hate it. It sucks for gaming. And after doing tons of research i found out that the only other ISP provider in my area only offers Wireless internet. They come in and set up an antenna. I hear the latency with wireless internet is less compared to satellite. Now they over charge by a bunch so my only possible speeds i can afford are 256K down and 128K up. I dont plan on hosting games but i do plan on playing in rooms with max 30 other people. Is this type of internet service good??? how bad is the latency from wireless internet compared to Wired???

Talk to other users on the wireless Internet Service Provider.

Latency on wireless ISP will be much less.
Distance is much shorter compared to GeoSynchronous Satellite.

My computer I'm on right now has a antenna screwed into the back. The other computer doesn't have a screw in the back.

You will need a wireless card for each computer. You can also buy a usb wireless connecter, for about $40-60. so you don't have to open the back of your computer on the one that doesn't already have a wireless card.

i have a few cell phone antenna booster and i have a wireless internet, but there is no signal in my room, so will the cell phone antenna booster work with the wireless modem to boost up the signal?
