2 way radio accessories

I just purchased a set of Motorola T5530R 2 way radios from REI.com In the ad, it said optional accessories available, but where is a good place to get stuff like that? I'm looking for a headset with VOX to use backstage in a theater to talk to the lighting and sound person so I don't want anything that will beep to loudly, etc. Can I use the headphone that I got with my cell phone? I think they both have the same size plug. 2.5mm

The radios you have are ILLEGAL to use for the use you have described. They are FRS/GMRS radios (family radio service/general mobile radio service). Channels 1-14 are freebie channels for use with your family. GMRS (all the other channels) REQUIRE a FCC license to operate. Each person not in your immediate family must have a separate license to use. These radios (licensed or not) cannot be legally used for business purposes.

Me and my friends often have long road trips in two seperate cars and we would like to have a two-way communication device for talking between the two cars. Ideal would be something which switches itself on when the car starts and then we can talk.

1. One way can be a walkie-talkie, but it requires you to switch each time you want to talk.

2. Cellphones with speakerphone/bluetooth.

But I am looking something like an intercom which is on always (after the car starts.)

Any suggestions are welcome.

Well, I put in a switch panel for my strobe lights (I'm a volunteer Fire fighter) I wired a constant from the battery to it and wired a relay so it turns on when the alternator turns on. Now, I am driving and my Radio and clock went out. I have not touched the wiring for these accessories in about 2 months (I took the radio out to try and put the switches under the DIN there. Now, I tried to turn my interior lights on, Nothing, tried to use my key FOB to lock the doors, nothing. All the fuses are fine, no wires are burned. Any Ideas?

You should consider returning the wiring to its original configuration and see of that helps. That would help isolate your problem even if it will be a pain in the butt. Otherwise, get an electrical schematic of your car and do some tracing to figure out where power should be going then use a multimeter to see if it matches up in reality.

Im having trouble figuring out how to wire up an aftermkt stereo to a jeep cherokee. I have all the speaker wires and the ground wire hooked up properly. I can't figure out the other 2 wires. Theres a pink and gray wire left to hook up. Which wire is the Memory/Constant? And which wire is the Accessory wire? Its yellow and red, respectfully on the stereo. Any help much appreciated.
