2 way radio headsets

Hey there :) I need advise from anyone who uses a 2 way headset with a motorcycle or ATV. I plan to get my dad and younger brother one for their B day but I am clueless what to look for. Can anyone share what brand/model that they like.

Where can I get headsets for Binatone terrain 550 two way radios. I want to buy them but they dont come with headsets but they do support headsets, they have 2 input jacks one of the jacks has a pin down the center like a dc power jack but they charge in a holder and the concacts are on the back.

I intend useing them when I am ont on my mountain bike with others.
I have just found out the jack with the pin down the center is another charging socket. Binatone have a customer help line 0845 345 9677 (nice of them to not to have it on their web site)

I do a radio show on the internet, And I have a co-host with me. I am trying to figure out how to hook up both of our headsets to 1 laptop. I use a USB headset, So when I hook both of them up one of them mutes and the other one works. So I bought a splitter and it is still doing the same thing. Do I have to change something in my sound settings? Your help would be very appreciative.

Go back to 3.5mm headsets so each headset has a Mic (output) plug and a Headphones (input) plug.
Plug both outputs into a stereo Y-adapter so they both will plug into your sound card. Do the same with the inputs for the headsets.
This is a hardware change so the computer won't know that there are two outputs and two inputs.
USB devices have drivers and software needs to work with the drivers and the CPU and RAM have to run the software, etc. So, keep it simple if you can.

does anyone know anything about 2 way radios?

i bought these today from argos specialy for the vox feature, i wanted to be able to use them on my motorbike so i can talk to a mate on his bike.

for some reason the vox feature works when we are on stop but not when we are on the move.

any help will be apreciated as the instructions dont go into much detail, i have read up on the handsets and they'v had good reviews

aq couple of mates of mine have special vox headsets but they only work when you have someone on the back of the bike

Probably find its to do with background noise, in your helmet when you're on the move. More noise, less chance of VOX activating properly. Police use a noise cancelling mic, within 2cm of the mouth, but a seperate press to talk (PTT) button. You could wire it up so that you plug into a connection which is hard wired onto your bike, fit a PTT (waterproof, non latching type from Maplin). You'de need to wire in a mike and earpiece into the helmet.
