2 way radio phone

i would say yes as long as it is entirely hands free once you are connected up

it would be breaking the law as soon as you had to use yours hands to operate it whilst driving

and i believe it is legal in the UK to use hands free

Me and my friends often have long road trips in two seperate cars and we would like to have a two-way communication device for talking between the two cars. Ideal would be something which switches itself on when the car starts and then we can talk.

1. One way can be a walkie-talkie, but it requires you to switch each time you want to talk.

2. Cellphones with speakerphone/bluetooth.

But I am looking something like an intercom which is on always (after the car starts.)

Any suggestions are welcome.

I bought a set of phones from Radio Schack (2.4GHz) digital, they only have numbers on the handset and the base has a button to page a lost phone. Problem is that I cannot get both phones to answer the same call. When a call comes in the phone that answers first, is the only one that can hear the call. How can I get both to be on same call? or transfer the call to secondary phone...

Yes and they also need putting in a really badly run care home like proper ordinary folk are who are made to feel needy, so they can be abused within the crappy neglectful system, just like what ordinary folk really do have to put up with.

I am looking for a (2-way) radio of some kind to talk to my fiance when her mom won't let her on the phone. Does anyone have some recommendations? We don't have high-income [I work minimum wage part-time, and she doesn't work], so I'm trying to avoid cell phone services. Please give me any suggestions, aside from cell phones, to communicate with her when her mom/dad cut off phone, web, and the like. [Ranging From 5 Miles to 25 Miles Distance Locally]

CB, you'll get about 5 miles, no privacy of course, but no license is required either. anything 2 way that has more range than CB you'll need a license.
