You need to go to a Radio Shack and they will have a book of your Law Enforcment freq. of your area or the entire nation. When you get there just ask them about the book and they will know what you are talking about. They normally cost around $20.

Alot of the times most of the public frequency codes will be given to you over the phone or in person if you contact your local police station, it is public knowledge for citizens to be prepared and on top of current events. You might also want to try the Uniden or Bearcat website, a while back I found some online frequency codes for different parts of the United States, just try a search for frequency codes
