you already know it is illegal so why are you asking if it is OK?

it could damage your radio, relay transients can destroy transistor switching in the radio.

NO... under no circumstances can you ever use an amplifier on CB. CB and amateur radio are different services with different rules.

What can I do to add power to my Cb radio base?

I've heard of Cb linear amps that boost power but I really know nothing of how they operate. Are they just plug and go or are they complicated to use? I'm thinking of buying an old tube type amp but I might just be wasting my money...Anybody??


Totally illegal.

If you have no knowledge of radio frequency emissions, honestly... for your safety it is best to leave that subject alone. CB amplifiers are illegal for a reason. CBers require no training. If you do not know what you are doing, stay away.
