Ive got a couple questions:
1. is a stock cobra cb mic poor quality?
2. when i talk into my cb radio, my bars light up to indicate im talking but dont go away when i try to stop talking and let go of the mic....whats the problem?
1. The stock Cobra mics do fine. I have one on one of my radios and it does just fine. Any stock mic will be good for general use, unless you just want to customize your rig.
2. Either you've got some interference or if it is still showing TX then you may have a short.
This is the first RF Limited CR 577 Power Microphone in the UK. A big Thank you to RF Limited and Avera Electronics for sending me this sample ...
This is as i have just bought a cb radio and i dont really want to keep the mic plugged in all the time whilst in the car.
Most mobiles do have a mic/speaker in the handset device, but also many mobiles have a small speaker installed to listen to when the handset isn't plugged in, if you have 20 or 30 tiny holes int he top or bottom of the mobile then you probably have a built in speaker, on some units you have to select the speaker, consult your manual if you have on on how yoru particular model works.
Wired with 4 pin plug for Cobra/Uniden/Superstar/Galaxy.
Standard dynamic replacement microphone.
Bulk packed in plastic sleeve.
Metal hanger button.
It is a AM/FM Side band 40 channel CB Radio mobile being used as a base. Need a 4 pin power mike to fit my radio. Realistic mic 4 pin operates the radio now very well. Uniden 4 pin won't fit properly. Tried Ebay & CB World, no luck. The Super Star is old but works great on a ground plane.
if possible somewhere in highlands county FL
i know you said you tried it... but maybe something here...

I need to know where one that is works with my radio is at.
Actually, you can buy many different brands of Microphone/Speaker units that use a 1/8 phono plug. The twin-post adapter plugs can be bought from RadioShack or other stores for a small price (if you buy a combined unit).
external Cb speaker, 3 way accessory adaptor, CB mic keeper and I would like to know the prices. or a site that can help me.
http://www.cbcity.com/ I buy all my accesories through them or at local HAM stores
