export radio

I want to purchase a pair of commercial radios (VHF 136-174Mhz) into the US. I saw a lot of them on ebay and they ship from Hong Kong. will they have any problems getting by customs since their commercial export radios?
how does customs work? will they check everything on them?
like I said their 136-174mhz, transmit and recieve, commercial export handheld radios.

i would be more worried that the seller is a rip-off. radios do not cover the entire frequency range specified for transmit and meet FCC type acceptance standards. If not stamped type accepted, it will be confiscated by customs as contriband.

FYI, the FCC does monitor eBay sales. So it not just a matter of getting past a postal inspector, the FCC will shut down all shipments of illegal radios from that vendor.

What is going on? Everywhere I look, the UK (an island that used to be proud and great) is exporting the most shameful and cringe-worthy people across the globe.

We have the pathetic, grovelling weasel Blair as a 'leader' who does whatever he is told and never fails to lick the boots of people who control him while making the UK look like a subservient state who bow down to the US..

We have Westwood 'repping the UK' on Radio 1 with his hideously embarrassing attempts to be a gangster even though he looks like someone's Dad.

I heard on the radio that overseas(I'm in the US) there is a country selling their gas for like 19cents a gallon. They don't import or export their gas. And why does our gas prices depends on what happens overseas? We have plenty here. It is 2.89 a gallon here. I think the government contributes to the price gouging because everytime we bomb or are going to bomb somewhere they jack up the price without knowing if they really have to.
I did not elect any of these guys. Everyone I voted for got beat. They should have took my ballot we would have been in better shape.

Because the Government has to get their money somewhere. That way they can live in their Billion Dollar Mansions, and their 4000 slaves can peel their grapes and make them Pina Coladas...
