Which Antenna is better for a CB? Firestick's antennas or an Old Sk00l 102" Stainless Steel Whip Antenna?
simple answer - length equals efficiency - nothing's gonna beat a 1/4 wave (102") whip for getting out and talking. Firesticks claim to be 1/4 or 5/8 wave, but all that wire is wrapped around a 3 or 4' section of fiberglass - it just doesn't get out as well. If you can get over the hillbilly factor (or prefer it) then go with the 102" whip every time.

ok so i have a cobra classic CB radio. i bought a 4ft Fire stick antenna so i have a 18ft coax cable and a rocky mountain antenna mount special made for a jeep wrangler unlimited. i have it all hooked up according to the diagram but. it wont work :( any ideas? i can use the pa i have hooked. and my antenna is on tight haha
well it might not be 18 ft lol but its long enough to go from the spare tire rack to my dash and i have it all tucked away and hidden to where u cant see it

Finally installed my Bakflip Bed cover... - Nissan Titan Forum
Did a lil' search and found how to do it. You have to trim about 1/4" off the bottom of the Bedcover track. It also calls for pop riviting the tracks to the bed rails. Well I don't have a rivit gun. And I dont have the original clamps that comes with the cover. So until I can make it to the hardware store for clamps or a rivet gun, I'm using good ole trusty vise grips. (Hightech Redneck WOOT!..lol) This thing BARELY fits with the tailgate shut! lol....Going to play with it a little more this weekend. Also I had to remove my Firestick CB antenna and mount, since it was mounted on the inside of the bed rail/cap. Right now I'm using my back up magnet mount antenna. I'm going to fab up...
