    I wanted a cheap portable 440 band radio for Ham Radio usage and found a cheap model from China for about $60. It was advertized as having RX from 410-480 so I thought it would be handy also for receiving GMRS as well. I have both Ham & GMRS license. As I listened to this FD-450A receive my GMRS transmissions.... I just had to try TXing from the FD-450A..... and wouldn't you know it..... it was transmitting on the GMRS frequency of 462.637 !!!!  Removeable SMA antenna and 5 watts for $60. Next I'll see how it works on a 6db gain mobile 440 antenna. FD-450A is only on eBay guys.


    Sadly there is NO ...  FCC ID number anywhere (as there IS on my other radios), just a barcode,...
