Can i use a kenwood radio as marine radio?

I have a kenwood TK - 7100 radio want to know if it is posible to do adjustments on the radio to use it as a marine radio , or will it be better to resell it and buy the correct one .


They make radios especially for marine use.

I've also seen watertight covers that flip down over the face plate, to keep it dry. Might be useful if you have to use a non-marine rated unit

How do i change the time on the radio in my car. I have an aftermarket kenwood radio and cannot figure it out?

Im not sure if I am susposed to be in any type of particular mode when I do this. It is a 2008 im unsure of what model though but they generally look the same and i would guess function that way as well. This is an aftermarket radio.


you usually have to hold something try the radio button or the time button if you have one. try it with the radio on and off. or look for the pin hole H/M. also if u really wanted im sure if u look up the type of radio u have you can find a manual. Good LUCK!

What kind of piece do i need to get in order for my navigational system to work on my KENWOOD radio system?

I have a touch screen radio system in my car. With all type of features such as radio, dvd player, navigational,etc.. But i have to purchase a particular piece in order for the navigational system to work. Do anyone know the exact name of the piece?



The GPS is a separate box that gets connected to the deck. The model for the part is KNA-G510.

why does my kenwood radio keep on saying call?

i installed a amp and sub on my car and now after a few seconds listening to the radio it will say call. why is it doing this.


because you messed up the wiring slightly, you hooked the amp remote switch to the tel mute line from the harness..

bad news is you need to pull the radio to correct your error,
good news is it's only the 1 wire.
