What is a good website to buy bulk ammunition for a .257 Weatherby Magnum?

I have a .257 magnum Weatherby Vanguard and I am trying to find bulk ammo for it. Stores sell the ammo at ridiculous prices like $70.00 for 20 rounds. A friend told me I would be able to find it online and get deals like 500 rounds for $200.00. After searching for a long time, no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

No way are you going to find .257 Weatherby Mag ammunition on-line at that price. Anywhere.

What I did for my .300 Wby was to reload the empties I saved after shooting it. You can buy a cheap Lee hand press and dies, powder, primers and bullets and save yourself some money in the future. You can also then tailor the rounds you create specifically for your rifle. You may be able to find used reloading equipment at your local dealer.

which carrier ( SSB, FM, CW, AM ) would travel farther with less power?

It sound like you know what your talking about. I have a linear with 2 SD1446 on a Texas Ranger AM-SSB from www.gijoesradioelectronics.com adjusted to work with my Twister 250 linear thats in my Tacoma truck. It sounds great with my 102" whip antenna.
My question is which carrier ( SSB, FM, CW, AM ) would travel farther on less power with reasonable audio. Also which home base setup would help me communicate with my mobile? ( How many watts would I need for the truck and base radio? )
I would like to get between 20-30 mile constant and will 102" whip work better then a Imax or Antron base antenna?
I was thinking of the magnum 257 for base and mobile http://www.gijoesradioelectronics.com/sc ripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=1083 Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for your help. :)

CW is the best for long distance readability at very low power levels. A radio operator would be able to make a very weak CW signal intelligible over a very weak voice signal.

The best is slow CW and have it sent via a long wire antenna matched as best as possible to a transmitter.

Power, you can work the world on 5 Watts, but you can use anything up to about 400W on the ham bands if licensed. Some people use more, but you start causing problems with other people and services at that level. And may risk some kind of fine or imprisonment if caught.

For CB (cough) you can use as big an antenna as you can find, or allow to put up, verticals are preferred here as its good for HF. The base of the antenna needs a good ground, you can add lengths of copper wire as radials from the base of the tower outwards and round, to make the ground better, this helps your transmission.

Lastly make sure your antenna is correcly matched to the source impedance of the transmitter. you can check this using a reflectometer. by measuring forward and then reflected power. A pi matching network will allow you to match the antenna to the transmitter, by making the antenna "appear" to be 50 ohms.

Swapping or trading in rifles???

I own a Weatherby Magnum in .257 and want to swap it for a Sako 75 in.223. I want to know if swapping rifles can be done either with a gun shop or "Joe Blow" up the road and if it's legal and what I need to do to swap?

Much depends on where you live. Many states have some pretty restictive laws concerning guns. The states where you are required to register your guns will be the most restrictive. In states such as Indiana and Texas, where the laws are less restrictive, you can just make an agreement with an individual and exchange guns with no required paperwork. When trading guns in one of the more restrictive states, you may have to go through a dealer or someone who has a FFL. Naturally, this costs a bit more money and serves little to no purpose but you have to do it if you live in one of these places. See what the laws require in the state in which you live and then act accordingly.
