One thing in the world that I am getting increasingly fed up with is "severe weather" alerts. Between April and September, every time there is a cloud in the sky, we starting getting all sorts of warnings about "severe weather" and tornadoes. Every few days there is another severe thunderstorm watch or tornado warning. There is talk about damaging winds and large hail. But nothing ever happens!
Do you wish the local news and the National Weather Service would just shut the **** up about "severe weather" and stop trying to scare us all the time?
I agree totally and whenever it does rain, it only rains for like a minute then it gets normal

They're having their Presidential Hopeful Convention, and some Democrats blamed Bush for the California Fires, and Katrina in New Orleans, so can Republicans blame Democrats for causing Severe Thunderstorms?
Take your pick of the links, but if people want to blame Natural disasters on the President, why not blame the DNC for the Thunder storms?

I thought every bad thing was because of Bush? What, are you changing party lines now?
Doesn't this restrict the access of news, weather, national alerts, etc. from the poor? Does this conflict with every citizen's right to life, liberty and the persuit of happiness?
The question should be WHY are all TV broadcast being REQUIRED to go digital? There is a much bigger picture here than technological advancements. Think..................so your viewing habits can be monitored, if the govt. doesn't like what's being broadcast, they can flip the kill switch, "they" will be able to control what is broadcast, can you say Fictitious News Conferences. It also will leave all open to interception from hackers and online "terrorists". And that's just the tip of the iceberg. I'm sure most will play the paranoia card, but there is more to it than that.
