What are the microphones that the radio stations use that work far away from there station?
Dual Muff Over the head

Radio stations have a mic and they are miles away from there station and it stills connects with there station.

Most are using Cellphones these days to call in. The old days we used "Marty Units" that had to be positioned just right for a good signal to the station. Some times we use the old reliable phone line.
There are all kinds of equipment out there, next time you see them out and about ask them when they are not broadcasting what equipment they use. Some will actually have a clue others will not.

How do I set up 5+ radio mikes with my band front line each on a different frequency to not clash?
Motorola APX 7000XE (Black housing)

I am trying to set up Radio Microphones for the front line of the band I am in. I need help with what system to use as we need 5 such mikes and I can only find systems that provide 4 different frequencies...this would mean a conflict/clash of instruments at the mixer desk. Can anyone help please?

Yes, they all have to be on a different frequency.

I have been doing sound for 20 years and I avoid wireless mics whenever possible. Regular wired mics are much more reliable, sound better, and I can control the mics volume better. In other words, do you REALLY need all those wireless mics? Sometimes I think people want wireless mics just because they are "cool" not because they are needed for a performer who is running all over the place.

If you really need them, you will need to get 5 on different frequncies and even then there is no guarantee they will not interfere with each other. You just have to turn them all on and try them.

Running sound is enough of a headache with adding problems. Keep it simple - wired mics are simple. Many musicians still use wired mics because they know how reliable they are.

The program I am familiar with is called Polderbits. I downloaded this from a torrent off of www.torrentspy.com. You will need to have a torrent downloader like burst! or Azerus. Polderbits has great quality of recording and its free if you find the right versions.
