Does anyone know anything about Amateur Radio Amplifiers?

Ive acquired a Firebird F-500 vintage amplifier for amateur radio/ cb. I cannot find any info on this thing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks


What you have is a 11 meter CB amplifier.
This is a base unit 110volt ac, with (3) 6JE6C tubes being driven by (1) 6JE6C driver tube. This amplifier has an input of 2-4 watts drive from a typical CB radio. Output on AM is about 180 watts and on SSB about 300 to 400 watts. This is illegal for use on the CB band but can be used on the amateur 10 meter band, thou its signal wave form is really not that pure.
