waterproof radio

Where can I find a cheap priced waterproof AM/FM radio? Possibly a hand held one. Not online either, I need it fairly quick so I Can't wait to have it shipped. Any ideas?

Testing Midland#39;s claim of a waterproof radio.

I have seen them built into coolers. They use car batteries and car head units with speakers built into the sides of the cooler.

Buy one of those radios you can use in the shower. Try bed bath and beyond. But i did see one once all rigged up into a styrofoam cooler ( kinda hard to remember that day) but i think they still had problem with the water getting into it.

It's coming back to me now, they used an old car stereo and had it hooked up to a car battery and i think they may have used some old speakers.

Where can I find specifically a rather inexpensive radio or boombox that is waterproof/resistant for a rafting trip I'm going on? I want it to play music while we're all hanging out

I don't know if this is what your looking for, but i think it would be great for a trip such a yours. It can hold your drinks and play music for you. It is weather resistant... and its only $55... I don't know what you consider inexpensive though.

I'm wondering if such a thing exists because I'd love to be able to clip something to my bathing suit, put in a pair of earphones and listen to music or books on tape while swimming laps....

It sounds outlandish, but I thought it was worth asking.

same as the guy above you can buy waterproof covers, some which can also strap onto your arm.

Does anyone know of a good radio that can play cd's or my ipod that I could take on the river without getting destroyed. I've taken one on the river and of course it made it half way down until it went under and of course didn't work.
