I'm not sure if it is I have been told that it is, i just don't want to put money into something that isn't any good.If someone could tell me whether or not it is that would be great.
Thanks
Angie
I searched but found nothing.
Do this to determine how much power it actually puts out ('max' or 'peak' power ratings are completely useless and should be completely disregarded): multiply the total fusing (all fuses in amp added together) by voltage (14.4). Now, multiply that by .65 (65% efficiency, most class a/b amps). This is the total RMS rating the amp will produce. Now, divide that by 4 (4channels) and this is how much each channel will put out at 2ohms.

I am planning to put audio system in my car, I have 4 speakers (2 speakers in front and 2 in rear) and one subwoofer. So please suggest me regarding AMP ?? Should I go for 2 or 4-channel amp for better out put ??????/ Please help me out in choosing.
Can you please explain if I choose 2-channel amp or 4-channel amp how to divide it between the speakers and subwoofer?
Thanks in advance
@ gennie
using a 4 channel or even a 5 or 6 channel amp would be better than using the head unit for the mids and highs as they usualy do not have cross-overs. you want to "block" the bass from going to your door speakers and send it to something made to play those frequencies like a subwoofer. this will cause less distortion in your system and sound MUCH better.
using a 4 channel amp might be the least money option but you will need 2 channels for your subs and 2 channels for your mids and highs. this will give you no fading on those speakers. better yet only run FRONT door speakers as you dont put your back to a concert so why have sound comming from behind you??! this does not apply to BASS but there is no need for back speakers in a good sound system.

I have a home theatre system and it is low watts but it is an excellent speaker system and i recently blew the internal amp and now I am just going to use the speakers and power them through an external amp and use them in my car.
My question is what amp should I buy.
I am planning on running 3 25 watt speakers and a 75 watt sub woofer that all run at 8 ohms and I am going to connect them to a 4 channel car amplifier will this work. I want to run them on this:

The rms on the amp is only 160w so u would be fine with that amp...as far as the 8ohm subs it just means that ur not gonna get as much power as if they were 4ohm....u should wire them down to 4ohm to make everything parrallel and also better quality when they match up ohms....

Car Audio - Can I Connect The Front Speakers Also To The Amplifier ...
First question, yes and no. You’ll have to get a separate amp setup for the front connection. The amp must have high level inputs(not the same as RCA) or you use a line level converter. If they are stock speakers, the amp can’t be much more than 25 watts RMS X 2 @ 4 ohms. Each channel of the amp must match the RMS watts of each speaker.
