alpine amps

should i buy a alpine mrd-m605 or an alpine mrp-m650 for 1 12" type R dual 4ohm sub, wanna hook it up at a 2ohm load all together so i need the dual 4ohm sub, right? thanks

i would get the mrp-m650 becase at 4 ohms it pushes out 400w where the other amp only pushes out 300w. and yeah to get a 2 ohm load u have to have a 4 ohm dvc wired like wiring opition 1 on this linkhttp://rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woofer _wizard.asp?submitted=true&woofer_qt y=1&woofer_imp=4

How good are hifonics amps? how do they compare to alpine? or kicker?

Alpine= great
Kicker= great
Hifonics= power but higher distortion that is why people with El' Cheapo amps blow speakers.

I have two 15" Audiopipe Dual 2-Ohm subwoofers. I am trying to hook up two Alpine MRP-M350 Amps to them.

What are my best options?

My cd player doesnt have enough amp outputs to use both amps and the amps dont have preamp outputs. Is there anyway for me to make these compatible?

Each 2 ohm DVC can be wire for 1 ohm or 4 ohm. Look at the RMS power handling of the sub and wire it to the amp so as the amp won't exceed the RMS rating. The amp will have an output power (RMS rating) depending on the ohm load given to it.

Use an RCA splitter to feed both amps.

Which brand amp is better? Alpine amps v12 mono amps are a bit cheaper than kicker amps. For example, you could get a 750 watt Kicker Zx750.1 amp on ebay for around $275. You'd also find the 1000 watt Alpine MRD-M1005 for around $330. A 600 watt mono alpine amp for around $240. A kicker zx1000.1 amp on ebay costs around $380. The alpine 600 watt amp retail costs around $400 and the 1000 watt amp around $550. On the other hand the Kicker zx750.1 amp retail is about $580 and the zx1000.1 around $800. so which amps are better, kicker or alpine? which would give you more bang for your buck? opinions? thanks

Kicker amps have more balls
Alpine amps have cleaner sound.

Which company gives you a better bang for your buck alpine or kicker? I'm pretty sure that when it comes to mono amps Kicker has the edge with more raw power. But i was wondering what are your opinions? Would you rather have a Kicker or Alpine amp. Also when it comes to 2,3,4 channel amps which would you rather have? Which gives better sounds when it comes to powering regular 6x9 and 6.5" speakers? Just asking for opinions, thanks.

kicker amps kill alpine amps. that will flat out murder them in powering anything. mono, 2 channel, or 4 channel...go with kicker. theyre stuff is massively underrated and you will be getting not only what they say the amp can do but lots more. for ex a zx1000.1 amp is said to run 1000 watts rms but it will really be around 1200 rms. kicker amps are top of the line and also are pretty compact and can fit in most places
