I have an american legacy la 2278 4000 watt amp and was wondering is it ok to run1 ohm with my pioneer premier

It an american legacy la2278 i wanna run it in the lowest ohm to get the most power out of it with my PIONEER PREMIER 6000 WATT SPL 12 model
ts-w3001d4 i would like to run it in 1ohm but not sure my amp can handle it thanks

First, no that amp won't tolerate a 1 ohm load.

Second, you need to know a few things about loading an amp.

How you load an amp determines the amount of power out.

There is a trade off though, the lower the impedance (ohms) the more power is pushed as well as higher distortion and more heat is generated. The excessive heat will shorten the life of the amp.

For best overall performance, it's far better to get a higher powered amp and load it with 4 ohms than a lower powered amp and force it to push more power with a lower impedance (2 or less ohms) load.

Where are american legacy amps made??

I need to send an American Legacy amp back to the manufacturer, but alas, cannot find it. Can anyone please help me?

Good luck. Not much help on the web. Is there an address or anything at all on the back or maybe just inside the back cover. That would be your best bet.

How do I power a car audio amp in my room?

I have a 15" L7 Solo Baric with a bridgeable 2400 WATT American Legacy amp, I'm trying to figure out what I can do to power it inside my room, what sort of power supply and how big of one do I need to give the amp full power in my room, I guess using a regular wall outlet, help me please.

There is no inexpensive way to do it. It would be cheaper to buy a plate amp (from Parts Express or Elemental Designs) to run the subs than it would to buy a DC power supply to run a high-powered car audio amp.

What is a good (cheap) amp that i can get to power my 2 12" fosgate p3s to the max?

i have 2 12" p3s in a q logic box (it has 2 vents and a plexi glass middle) the subs are the 07model and right now im currently using a 1200 watt american legacy amp, and i know im not getting half the power i should. i was wanting to know what kind of amp i need to get and where i could get one for cheap and the price-used or new

you get EXACTLY what you pay for, if your gona be cheap, at least be smart. those walmart sony 1000 watt amps suck.. thats 1000watts peak the rms on those amps is 100 watts per channel.thats only a little more then your head unit. r.m.s. is the constant flow of amps that youll get out of it. the distortion level is thru the roof. it says right on the box..it will make those speakers sound like you got marbles in your box.. go to your audio store and look for the highest rms numbers you can get for your money

  • Trends and Outlook: EMS, SCADA amp;amp;amp; DMS

By Charles W. Newton, Newton-Evans Research Co.

Nearly 150 major and mid-size electric power utilities from the United States and Canada participated in the 2008 North American control systems market study. Ninety-five percent of the respondents indicated that their respective utilities have at least one control system installed for use in operating the transmission network, distribution network, or both. More than 40 sites reported having a second control system and nine had three or more control systems installed.

Each of the investor-owned utilities (IOUs) reported having an energy management system installed as of mid-2008. Almost all utilities with 25,000 or more customers reported having a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) or energy management system (EMS) in operation. A lower number of mentions were received for installations of stand-alone distribution management systems (DMSs), as most distribution utilities incorporate at least some distribution grid management functions within their SCADA systems. Only 17 percent of respondents reported having a stand-alone distribution DMS in operation.
