10" and 13" subwoofer help?

hey friends .. i want to confirm somthing so plz help.
well every speaker is designed according to specific frequency responce in a specific range..a 10" sub will give better mid bass than 13" sub and 13" will produce better low frequencies than a 10" sub..money is not a concern for me.now i am lookin for a setup of 2- 10" jl w3v2 and 1-w6 that combines a power of 1200rms and i have a audison amp which pushes out 1100rms at 1 ohm..i know how to wire that stuff..but will this combination work better than two 12"..its not about saving money here ..its about better reproduction..plz give your opinions..i am not doing this setup but really want good opinion for my tougt ..thanx

The smaller the subwoofer the better it does at lowor frequencies. The brand of the sub makes a huge different also. Bose and pioneer and the best brand.

There is a good conversation about subwoofer and the frequency on this thread.

At a 3 ohm load, that amp will push 280 watts RMS. The sub can handle 350 watts RMS. To get the fullest potential out of that sub you may want to look for an amp that's about 450 watts RMS @ 4 ohm. This will be an estimated 330 watts RMS to the sub which is a closer match.

Small footprint mono-block amplifier?

I'm setting up a system in a S-10 Standard cab.. hoping to find an amplifier with a small footprint for a single 8" sub, 4 ohm mono, 150 to 300 watts.

I remember a while back, Audison made some pretty powerful amps, and they were incredibly small for their ratings. Most of today's amps that I'm finding are bricks; Rockford Fosgates don't appear to be that large... I'm open to other suggestions.

This amp rocks,

audiofonics ADF-240

It's only 1 inch thick and has it's own cooling fan so it can fit in tight spaces.

Hope this helps

good amp if not the best?

i somehow bought 2 10" w3v2 d2 now m lookin for a amp read a lotta reviews on cruthchfield, sonicelectronix, onlinecartereo and hell more than one kno..not every body can afford jl 1000/1 amp thats a dream for me..so i looked at sm cheaper amp like hifonics..reviews said they are overrated and not good ..sony..read they are crap..pioneer ok stuff not for sq..alpine ,rf,audison, kicker, mtx, jbl, infinity outta my range..can ne one tell me what to choose..there are lot many but theres no place i can get a demo..coz the place i live is haunted..hehehe...so plz help me choose a good amp if not the best
HEY RID THANX BUDDY..if waiting is the solution ..i waited for 6 months for the subs and will have to wait another 6 months for a nice a amp..which i wont ..coz m not workin ..m a studnt..so really hard for me to save ..i'll rather change the amp i'll buy now when i'll have a lot more but later on..its very hard to save for more

First of all.... the amp has almost nothing to do with the sound.
The box the subs will be sitting in has about 80% of the sound... not the amp or the sub!

The fuse rating doesn't always give the true power either, if its a Class T amp or an Ice Power amp the efficiency is much higher than normal class D so the fuse rating will be lower.

Personally when it comes to cheap amps I like either hifonics or power acoustik.... whatever review you read saying hifonics wasen't good IMO wasen't a very good review.... Hifonics happens to be a pretty good company for cheaper gear, yes they are SLIGHTLY over rated.... but not by that much considering other claims I have seen.

Power Acoustik is another company that I have used and never had a problem with either.... they are slightly over rated as well but for the ,money they are pretty good amps

These are AWESOME for midbass or subwoofer duty. You can cross them over low pass as high as 500 Hz or run them full range with an external crossover. Amps also have subsonic filters and high pass or full range stereo preouts. I contacted Audison USA to get a new cover for #2 and they told me that they were no charge, but then never sent me one.
