boss amp

I had an amp in my truck and I used a 4 gauge 5000 watt Earthquaker amp insall kit. I am getting a new amp (BOSS DD2600) that puts out 900 watts rms and less than 1800 watts peak, the website with the amp says I should use 0 gauge wire but could I use the 4 gauge wire I already have installed? thanks

yeah man 4 gauge is good no need to buy more power wire your good 2 go

2 10 inch shallow mount BOSS phantom subs we got for my friends s10 and a boss amp. 1000 watt 4 channel amp

i have my current boss audio 4 ch 1000 amp right now and planning to join my new boss audio amp.

should i get another amp kit and wire another pwr gnd and remote or crosswire them from my current amp right now??

It depends on what size wire you have right now. For 2 1000W amps I would suggest running 2awg or 1/0awg wire then use a distribution block to split it to the 2 amps with 4awg and ground them separately with 4awg. I would also suggest upgrading your alternator and the 'Big 3' wires. (batt.-alt./batt.-chassis/chassis-engine block)

I got a Ford Escort and i want to install a 750 Boss amp and 2 10"subs. I got the gold speaker wire and stuff i just need to know how to install it in my car.

You will need to...

Run a power wire of the correct guage from the battery with a fuse no more than 18" from the battery to the amp. The fuse should be a total of the fuse rating on the amp.

If you don't have an aftermarket stereo, run a fused (1 amp) wire from the ignition ACC to another switch to the REM (remote) connection on the amp. This allows for full control and you never have to worry about forgetting to turn off the amp. The switch is so you can turn off the amp at will so as not to give grandma a heart attack in the car.

If you do have an aftermarket stereo, connect the blue remote turn -on form the HU to the REM connection on the amp.

The ground should be the same size as the power wire and securely grounded to the chassis of the car.

You can use a "line level converter" tapped from the speaker out of the head unit if you don't have an after market HU. If you do, run RCA from the output to the back to the amp.

You'll probably need some 0 ga. wire? but it all depends on the power rating of the wire and stuff....

My hifonics amp is in the repair shop so i got one from my buddy to use till then.

i doubt it. boss amps tend to be misleading in wattage. better wait for your hifonics.
