I was wondering how i can Install a 750 Boss Amp to 2 10" subs in my car?

I got a Ford Escort and i want to install a 750 Boss amp and 2 10"subs. I got the gold speaker wire and stuff i just need to know how to install it in my car.

You will need to...

Run a power wire of the correct guage from the battery with a fuse no more than 18" from the battery to the amp. The fuse should be a total of the fuse rating on the amp.

If you don't have an aftermarket stereo, run a fused (1 amp) wire from the ignition ACC to another switch to the REM (remote) connection on the amp. This allows for full control and you never have to worry about forgetting to turn off the amp. The switch is so you can turn off the amp at will so as not to give grandma a heart attack in the car.

If you do have an aftermarket stereo, connect the blue remote turn -on form the HU to the REM connection on the amp.

The ground should be the same size as the power wire and securely grounded to the chassis of the car.

You can use a "line level converter" tapped from the speaker out of the head unit if you don't have an after market HU. If you do, run RCA from the output to the back to the amp.

Boss audio car amp advice?

Hi,
i am looking at buying a boss audio BA-4300, its 1200 watt Max
im not worried if it only lasts 12 months and then dies on me.
i want it to push 2 10" 250 watt RMS subs.
will it still sound good with this amp? also roughly what would the RMS be of this amp. and can it be bridged to two channels?

I'm not sure about the bridging, but I'd say this amp would power the subs okay, but not great.

Not to knock you or anything, but Boss is a pretty low end brand.

Being how low end boss is I'd estimate RMS wouldn't be much more than 100 per channel. maybe 150...

Personally I'd say if you want one that will last and sound good buy a better brand, and about the same wattage.

Does anyone know anything about these car amps? Boss chaos C700 1200watts, Rockford Fosgate Punch 200?

I am going to put a sound system in my car (subwoofers, amp, tweeters) and I know a guy that has the boss chaos c700 1200 watt amp for $150 used and a rockford fosgate punch 200 amp used for $135. My other option is the sony xplod amp from walmart. I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about these amps , and if they are priced well. Thanks in advance!

Boss isn't a good brand.

Don't buy any audio equipment from Wal-Mart.

Look for CEA-2006 compliant amps.

car amp Protection Light is on, and I havn't changed a thing?

Boss amp, eurovox speakers (four), nothing too extravagant, but one day i turned on my car and the protection light is on, and nothing has changed.. any ideas?

Disconnect your speakers from the amp and then turn radio on. See if the light is still on. If the light is out, then you know it is one of your speakers causing the problem. If the light is still on, then your amp might be blown.

What car stereo amp would fit me best?

I recently bought 350 watt Boss speakers for the front of my car and 800 watts for the rear. A sales associate at Circuit city told me that i would need an amp to power them but was too incompetent to tell me what kind. Which size amp would work best for me?

I'd imagine that the fronts RMS together at 350 watts and the backs together RMS at 800 watts. I've had boss speakers, and you shouldn't overpower them by a single watt, or you'll be displeased in the quality. It's too much for the headunit to take because most give less than 25w X 4 channels. I suggest getting a 2 channel amplifier, and hooking the right side speakers together (front with back) and the same with the left side. That will give you 575w RMS on each channel that you would need. Get the Boss Audio D600.2 amplifier. It puts out 600w at each channel on 2 ohm loads. Then turn the gain down, so no overheating occurs, and you'll have a decent sounding car. Good luck

Make sure you have the right wattage coming out of the amp to power the sub or subs. also make sure you have the proper gauge powering wires. also the type of sub you gets depends on the type of music you listen to. I myself only have one 10 inch kicker comp. because i enjoy clarity and also good response when i’m listening to rock and jazz. and it still has some good bass for hip hop. rather than just loud 15 sub’s and I cant hear individual instruments with out blowing my ear drums lol
