Both of these speakers say that they are 6.5-6.75 so that means I can use them in either place right?
Also the Pioneer are $20 cheaper. Is the sound difference worth $40?
Thanks
Boston Acoustics makes very high-quality gear.
Pioneer, well...doesn't. At all.
You would notice a HUGE difference between the 2!

I am wondering which component set would be/is better, only answer if you either have them or know someone who does and you listen to it constantly as this will probably be my last set of speakers I purchase because i am now building my final car system, which will follow me to my next car i buy.
Would you also recommend that I buy the 6x9 version as well, or do you know of other good ones?
I am also aware of the other brands of car speakers out there, such as Rainbow, RE, ED, Orion, OZ, Polk Momo, Infinity Kappa
but i am leaning towards Boston or MB...please help me decide (side note no answers saying that "What sounds good to me might not sound good for you" I just need opinions biased or unbiased)
I like the MB quarts, I use them myself and love them.
PEAK Power: 180-watts
RMS Power: 65-watts
Frequency response: 55Hz - 20,000Hz
Impedance: 4-ohms
Sensitivity: 90dB
my problem is... i don`t have a near place to hear this speakers, but i can buy online. so witch do you think is a good choise??
i don`t wanna spend more than 100 US. (include shipping)
the models i have seen are:
polk db651
MB Quart DKG 116
Rockford Fosgate Punch P163C
boston acoustics c65
Infinity Kappa 62.7i or 62.9I
any other that i forget??
i`m between the polk and the infinitys, which do you thinks is better?? at the same price???
The race is between the fosgate an the jl audio there both extremely loud when powered correctly. Tip the jl doesn't need much power to sound great there low powered speakers that crack!
75 watts RMS and 200 watts peak
Clear sound quality with a smooth, even soundstage
Outstanding performance from this high-end coaxial speaker system
Ok... here's the deal.... a few months ago I was driving when all of the sudden, my car's electrical went bananas!
I have the following sound/video components in my car:
1- Alpine IVA-D310 receiver
2- Alpine CHA-S634 6-CD changer
3- Alpine MRP-F450 70wX4 amplifier
4- Bazooka BTA-10200 200 watt powered Subwoofer
5- Infinity Kappa 692.7i 6X9 front door speakers
6- Boston Acoustics SX60 6-1/2" X 6-3/4" rear door speakers
7- Clarion 7" head rest monitors (2)
While driving, I had my AC on, my radio blasting, all 3 video monitors on and two 24" neon light tubes under my seats... to make a long story short, my car shut off and wouldn't turn back on. Even after a jump from another car, I had to shut everything off otherwise my car would stall. After that, I bought a new battery and don't want have to go through that again. I was told to get a Capacitor for my system and maybe a second battery. Any suggestion?? I have a 2003 Mazda Protege 5.
Extra batteries and/or caps will make your problem WORSE.
Caps do not do what they are advertised to. They actually don't make any difference UNLESS you have upgraded your alt. Caps and/or batteries will pull MORE power from your factory alt., causing it to overload and go out. I've seen it happen.
Do the Big3 Upgrade (power -charge- wire from alternator straight to batt., ground wire from batt. straight to frame, and ground from frame (same place preferably) to engine block) all in 4g or bigger wire. This will provide the instantaneous power to your batt. from alt.
This will stop headlight dimming and voltage drops -which KILL electronics.
If this alone doesn't do the trick (I promise it'll help DRAMATICALLY) then an alt. upgrade is next on the list.
Remember, power cannot be used if it's not created (by alt.) and efficiently reach battery (where it is then used).
Good Luck!

Pls tell me if its a good option to keep any of d factory default speakers(pls note its not the bose system)-If yes which 1?
SUGGESTIONS ARE ALSO ENTERTAINED
the radio and rear speakers might be good but those other brands are trash (mediocre at best)
--first step is to get your amp and subs (buy from a reputable company/brand) and then see if you can still hear your vocals fine (inside stock speakers) if so you can wait for a new radio and inside speakers
listen before you buy and pick what sounds good to YOU
when it comes to car audio nine times out of ten you get what you pay for- and you need to look for CEA-compliant brands which means that the amps have been tested and produce or exceed the advertised RMS wattage with minimum distortion and the subs can handle their advertised RMS wattage also (distortion is the main cause of speaker damage over time)
here are the top CEA-compliant brands
Alpine (highly recommend)
Bazooka (don't like their subs)
Blaupunkt (don't like their subs)
Clarion
Eclipse
Infinity (highly recommend)
JBL
JL Audio (very good but over priced)
JVC
Kenwood (don't like their subs)
Kicker (the best in my opinion)
Lightning Audio (have not heard their subs)
MTX (highly recommend)
Orion
Pioneer
Polk Audio (highly recommend)
PPI
Rockford Fosgate (highly recommend)
Sony (don't like their subs)
