hifonics amps

ok so im goin to buy an Fi audio 15" BL subwoofer, and im debating weather i want a kicker zx1500.1 or a hifonics bxi2006D. this is my first build at only 16 yrs old, so u think I should save some money and go for the hifonics?? wats the diff. between the 2 amps anyways?

First i must warn you with either one you need to do some serious upgrades to your electrical system, new alternator, deep cycle battery, and the big "3" (see link). Both thoses amps draw more than a car is designed to put out. If you want to avoid the costly upgraades keep the total RMS power below 1000. (still very loud (easily >140db)).
the kicker puts out more power to a 2 ohm load but the hifonics can run a 1 ohm load inching its way past the kicker in shear output provided you run a 1 ohm load. but i suspect kicker makes a higher quality product.

just wanting to know if hifonics amps are good amps and when they advertise that the amp has 2000 watts at 1 ohm,is it a true 2000 watts?

How good are hifonics amps? how do they compare to alpine? or kicker?

Alpine= great
Kicker= great
Hifonics= power but higher distortion that is why people with El' Cheapo amps blow speakers.

I have read that hifonics amps are beloved and worshiped for their price but also quite overrated. Hard to find out how over rated they are. I have read 20-30%, even still at the price they are still quite tempting. Anyone have any first hand experience with the power from the GODS?

the old school stuff was kick @$$ when it was under ZED Audio, once They got away from Zed Audio they went down hill big time....

Hifonics amps people are alll over the intrernet with these amps and i wanna know should i get 3 or should i go for a jl amp or a kicker amp a lot of people dont know what good bass is and thay think 2 subs and a amp from autozone sound good so if u dont know dont try
