kicker 1000 watt amp

one of my two subs, which are hooked up in series and are dual 4 ohm solo barics, is hitting harder than the other, and i cant self diagnose the problem, can anyone help or give me some input?

i would get the alpine ...i wouldnt get the kicker amp unless the rest of my system is kicker theres just somethjing about kicker i dont like

i have 2 12 inch speakers one a dual and one a cvx kicker can a sony 1000 watt amp push them both without harming the dual i dont want it to pop ?? help....

yes you can, but your amp probably doesn't really put out 1000 watts. I'm willing to bet that you are talking about the max rating/ what you need to do is look at the RMS rating. that is how much power your amp can provide. If the RMS rating of the amp isn't too much higher than the RMS rating of your subwoofers, then it will work fine.

I was wondering if upgrading to an amp with more power would be a good thing and if would make the bass louder. I really don;t know that much about subs so help me out? And which amp would be better a kicker 1000 watt amp or a alpine 1000 watt amp?

Which subs do you have the 2ohm DVC or 4ohm DVC.

the alpine type-R subs are 4 ohm dual voice coil,

the amp is a kicker ZX1000.1 class D mono amp it has 1000 watts of RMS power at 2 ohms and 500 watts of power at 4 ohm

The others are wrong.

Two 4 ohm DVCs can only be wired for 1 ohm or 4 ohm.

That amp is 1000 watts RMS at 2 ohm and is not 1 ohm stable so... wiring the subs for 4 ohm will only be 500 watts RMS to both subs (250 to each).

You need the 2 ohm DVC version to get 2 ohms.
