kole audio amp

My current power wire isn't that thick. If i buy like a 2 gauge power wire would that give me more bass or is there something else that I need to buy?

Are the subs in the right enclosure?

Often times this can be the issue. Check what the manufacturer of the subs recommend for the type of enclosure.

Do you have the gain set right?

The purpose of the gain is to match the signal volts RMS coming from the source (CD player, etc.) to the input of the amp.

You'll need a multi-meter (AC voltmeter), Microsft Excel and a way to burn an audio CD from an MP3.

There was a experiment where 15 pro audio shops were given the task to set a specific setup by ear. Only 2 had it set within tolerances of actual measurement. The other 13 had the system clipping while 3 had the system severely clipping.

Do you have the sub wiring configuration correct?

Kole Audio makes everything garbage. I'd stay away from that stuff.

All I know about Kole is that my brother blue his Kole amps with four 15" Power Acoustik Crystal subs. I know these arent really top-of-the-line amps but would they do? They seem pretty affordable

If somebody blew that amp with pa subs then you know the amp is crap.I will bet you that even if they rate that amp at 5500w it would only put out 900w max!

thats 1-channel and pushes at least 1800 Watts RMS at 2Ohm and no more than 2500 Watts RMS at 2OHM does anyone know of any that cost no more than $350 (it cant be from EBay)

Some hidden costs you may not be aware of:

If your total system power is 1000 watts RMS or more, you will need to:

1. Upgrade the alternator to a high output alternator
2. Upgrade to a heavy duty deep cycle battery
3. Upgrade the "Big 3" - that is to replace the power wire between the battery and alternator, the ground from the battery to the chassis and the ground strap from the engine/tranny to the chassis with at least 1/0 AWG wire.

Failure to do this will result in you replacing them anyway as the alternator will eventually fail.
