Well if your Memphis amp is anything like my Rockford Fosgate amp, then the reason your amp is on protection mode is because you've melted the internals. My protection light came on mine and I tried to rewire it every way I knew how before taking it to my local best buy and having them hook it up to their circuit board. They told me it was completely fried and I needed to send it in to Rockford Fosgate and get it repaired. It was a 1200 watt mono amp and it cost me 139 bucks to fix, which I was glad to pay, seeing as though it was $599.99 new. Hope that helps.

I have two memphis audio 15" M3 subs and want to wire them to two memphis audio 500 watt amps I have two distibution blocks to use and the subs are dual voice coil and the amps are 2ohm stable and bridgable whats the best way to wire the voice coils on the subs and should I bridge each sub to each amp? If you had this how would you wire the system up?
Bridge one anp to one sub. that way each sub is independent on its own amp, just make sure that your RCA, remote wire, power, ground and speeker wires are all the exact same length so that there is no slak where you will get a double tune in the independent subs.

The terminals are parallel on the inside of your amp. There are 2 + and 2 - but inside the + are connected to each other and the - are connected to each other. They do this for ease of hooking up multiple drivers. Use either + and - and you'll be set to go.

I received a Memphis Audio amp from a friend and he says it is a 500 Watt 2 channel amp. I need to know how i can figure out if it actually is 500 watts, i have no reason not to believe him, but the amp does not say its wattage on the amp's body which i think is strange. It has two "15" Fuses in it if that helps.... it is a solid black 2 channel amp with a memphis audio "M" that illuminates blue when it receives power... it pushes a 300 watt RMS rated sony Xplod no problem... it is about a foot long and 6 or 7 inches wide... and about 3 or 4 inches tall... any info on this amp would be appreciated
It seems that you have an M-Class Amplifier.
