mono car amp

I'm looking for a mono amp between 500-800 watts and I'm wondering whats a good company to buy from. Preferably one that's not too overpriced.

BOSS is the biggest bang for your buck and IDC what ne one says my 4ohms only has been runnin at 1ohm. for 4 yrs now and it poweres my 15's very well.and its a 850 riot. 75$ on ebay

I need a mono amp for a subcompact car that will work with my 12 volt battery and not kill my electrical system, any ideas?

You can buy pretty much any mono amp for your geo or whatever your driving. anything over 400 watts and you should invest in a capacitor to insure you dont have your headlights blinking at night when the bass hits.

I was told that with a Mono Car Amplifier one will only work to one side left or right! is it true?? I have a Subwoofer Hifonics Olympus 15'' 4800 and was planning on buying as amp the Hifonics Brutus BXi2008D 2000W Mono Car Amplifier, but now I am not that sure because I wouldnt be able to affor two!! what can I do? or just with one brutus its ok?

A mono amp is perfect for a subwoofer or 2. Bass sounds generally sound fine when coming from one point rather then the left or right of the sound stage.

You'd want to have left and right channels for your mids and highs but it sounds like you are running them directly off your headunit rather then an amp.

For the sub you should be fine

I am buying a PYLE PLA2200 2 Channel 1400 Watt Bridgeable Mosfet Amp. I am also buying a Kenwood KFC-W3011 1200-Watt 12-Inch Subwoofer. I want to hook the sub up to both channels to get the most power. also is that a trust amplifier or is it cheap.

You'd be better off with a mono amp. Thay are more efficient (requires less power to run) and are designed for subs.

..and no. Pyle isn't top of the line, it's actually somewhere around the bottom.

Hi, my name is Art. I just built this 21" sub 8 ohm, 3000 watt. i want to hook it up in a car. i want to purchase a mono car amp, but i dont see any 8 ohm car amps that are 3000 watt. how am i supposed to bridge it or watever i am supposed to do.

If you have a 3000 watt 8 ohm sub, it's gonna be very hard to get so much power out to it since the ohms on it are so high. For example a $400 Kicker 1000.1 mono amp will give you 1000 watts but on 2 ohms, if it was on 8 ohms it would be only 250 watts. If you are going to wire that sub by itself to an amp, you will need something very powerful to get a good sound out of it at that many ohms. Even though it's a 21" sub, 15" would be a lot louder running at 2 ohms on that same amp.
