mtx amps

i know they all 1000 rms but which would give me more clean powerful thump to my mtx 9500 12's 4ohms because i know some amps cleaner and better than others.. list 1-3 the one you would choose from best to worse..

Well you have the understanding of the rms down so yea... lol as for the amps they are all good name brand amps, but if I had to pick the best (my favorite) one the order would be:

Kicker zx 1000.1- I have the Kicker ZX1000.1 and its a great product to buy. I have it installed in a small one cab pickup with two Kicker CVX's and its of great quality. The bass is loud like I like it but it also has great response in all kinds of music.

Mtx 1000xd- I have never heard this amp, but I have heard many mtx amps and boy do they do work... lol

Alpine amps I just think they are overpriced, but they are very nice too...

Kicker is my favorite one out of your choices... :) I hope this helps you

I've got my sights set on subs...i just have to find a good amp and dont know what to get or how many. also, i gotta find out what kind of wiring kit would be the best?

get one big monoblock amp. mono amps arent meant for subwoofers and will be the best on your electrical system. i dont know how many whats your subs are so i cant tell you a specific amp. but add up the rms of each sub and then find an amp that puts out really close to that amount. make sure the amp is CEA compliant. amps with this logo are good quality. depends on the wattage for how big the wiring kit needs to be. up to around 1200 watts rms you could prob get away using a 4 guage amp kit. amps i like are jl auido, kicker, and rockford fosgate

Circuit City is an MTX dealer and can fix your amp at their service center. Worst case they can send it to MTX to get fixed.

Try contacting MTX directly, they are pretty cheap to get anything repaired.

Looking into getting the 10 inch subs not sure about amps yet tho.

As long as you are not pushing the amp hard all the time or over powering the subs, they should last. I have been running amps that are over 10 years old and subs that are over 12 (both non-MTX). Still sound great and have no problems.

Check out the subs at a stereo shop and have them demo them for you. Each type of box will produce different bass notes and the location, direction of the subs will change the effect also.

on a scale of 1-10 what would you give there

with the subwoofers im just looking for good SPL im not really looking for SQ do you think MTX has what im looking for?
also with the components i just want good mids and highs

Components: 7 (Door speakers aren't that bad but not the best.)

4 Channel: 6 (never been a big fan of ANY 4 channel...LOL)

Mono: 9.5

Sub woofers: 8

MTX has always been the brand of choice for me and I have had great success using their equipment. Some of there top of the line sub's put on one of there top of the line mono amps is absolutely CRAZY loud, and some what clean too.

If you aren't looking for SQ, and just want raw and loud bass, MTX can do that but they aren't the best at it, as there quality is usually very good too.
