Can anyone tell me how many watts a Rockford Fosgate Punch 120a amp puts out? There is no sticker on the bottom of the amp to tell me anymore. Plus, I cannot find anything online. Does anyone happen to know how many watts it puts out? And, tell me if the wattage output is good, fair or poor? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Do you mean the "120.2"? Because it's 30 watts per channel at 4 Ohms, or 60 @ 2 Ohms.

Yes, it is safe to bridge your amp, provided that you realize that it increase the chances of the amp overheating, because it is making twice the power.

I am running 2 JL audio 10W7's off of a RF Punch 401s amp. The amp is 2 ohm stable and I have the subs wired in parallel for a 1.5 ohm load. The subs are 3 ohms each so if I run them in a series it becomes a 6 ohm load which I dont want. Is this half-ohm likely to cause any trouble? The majority of amps out there are only stable up to 2 ohms which will likely limit my selection when I upgade in a few months or so. The entire system is wired with 4 gauge wire and supported by a 1 farad cap so I am positive the amp is recieving good voltage. Any thoughts?
yes it is to low for the amplifier it will play but it will get hot and when the volume is loud the speaker protection on the amplifier will kick in by cutting your output to half for a few seconds or the amplifier will go on protection after a couple of minutes
Well, you need to look more closely at the ratings on the rockford 2400. It really doesnt do 2400 watts. That is just a rating they use to attract buyers. The RMS ratings is what counts here. Most likely it isnt more than 800w total. If you can look at the RMS specs, it wil give you a better reference to how good it will pus these subs. My guess is that I will Work, but Not power them efficiently!
Rockford Fosgate Power 550s Amp Testing-1, Kicker Cvr12’s 12
Zapatistachompo, I wish I could test a P10002 Amp on a pair of P310D4’s! Unfortunately I do not have any of that at the moment (I do not have any extra money for toys). The biggest Rockford amps I have are the Punch 800A2’s (which one of them is rated at 1028 watts RMS! Not bad for an 800! My 800’s definitely put out too much power for any of my current speakers. I have always loved Rockford products; they do make very nice equipment!
I have been a fan of Rockford Fosgate since my first set of subwoofers when I was like 13, which were a set of Punch 8’s (which are in my videos). As for your P8002: I would say if its in good condition I would let it go for $200, no less. And about $100 for the pair of P210D2’s if there in good condition as well. I definitely love the hobby, as there is just so much to test out / work on out here, & I just really enjoy it! Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays to you too. Take Care. 621ELECTRONICS
