10 portable dvd player

This DVD player was bought last Thanksgiving, and suddenly, it won't recharge when I plug it in as it normally does. Does anyone have a clue what may be the problem? It refuses to charge or even turn on. HELP! My sister will be seriously pissed if it doesn't work. Please help me!
The model number is PVS33116.

sounds like the charging cable is broken in a sense. the cables that you hook it up to have torn due to to much tension like wrapping them around and kinks. you might need to get a new one. and if that doesnt work your wall outlet doesnt work or the DVD player is broken itself.

plz help i just got A PHILIPS PET700 PORTABLY dvd player and dont know how to charge it . is it a diffrent cord or somthink plz help plz

Best info I was able to come up with is it comes with a car power cord but that the AC adapter is sold separately. You may use the car cord to charge it first, but you will have to buy a adapter from your dealer.
