alpine car dvd player

Im looking to buy a alpine car dvd player for my 1997 honda accord lx. Not sure what type to buy flip down or indash.Do you have to buy a monitor for you car for a indash dvd player.

Some in dash units will include a flip out screen, some do not. Make sure you buy what's right for you.

This is a video just to show it works great.

Specifically the DVA-5210. I purchased one but found out it will only play Region 2 DVDs. I would like it to play Region 1 DVDs.

Nope. But you can convert the DVDs on your computer using programs like DVD Decryptor and DVD Shrink and then burn them in region 1 format.

i was bought the sony mex dv 2000 indash dvd player. a lot of people say sony sucks and they dont last long. is this new indash dvd player good, is sony car dvd players better than jvc arsenal. what brands make the best indash car dvd players. does the sony mex-dv2000 indash dvd player compare witrh models like jvc or eclpise alpine costing much more.

i dont know anything about car systems or car dvd player ... buying it for a christmas present - just want some generel knowledge on the item and what are some good brands? pioneer? alpine? thanks so much!

No car dvd players will come from the factory able to play while the car is in motion. There are ways to bypass that safety feature. I am a huge fan of Pioneer in general. I've never had an in dash dvd player but I have had the pioneer headunit i have now for five years and its still going strong. I don't know much about alpine. I think the Kenwood dvd players look cool. They are a bit more expensive though.
